Since time in memoriam, acne alternative treatments can be done in the home. Though it is not quite practiced today, these solutions are of great help. Take a look at something you can incorporate in your daily regimen.
Due to the many physical and psychological effects of acne, one would rather stay home to avoid the public. Are you one of these individuals? Well, you are lucky enough that home acne alternative treatment is already available. This simply means that you avoid embarrassing doctor visits just because you want to hide your face.
Acne alternative home remedies
Just by looking around your home – from your garden way down to your kitchen – you will find items that will supplement your home acne alternative treatment. The most common examples are:
1. Oatmeal. If you have oatmeal in your pantry, you can cook it and put it on your face as soon as it cools down. Leave on for at least fifteen minutes before washing it off.
2. Rosemary. Wash your face with lukewarm water that had been bleached with nettle and rosemary. It can lessen the appearance of your acne.
3. Lemon Juice and rose water. Mix an equal amount of lemon juice and rose water. Apply it on your acne using cotton balls. Leave it for at least half an hour then wash. You can do this regimen for a period of 15-20 days.
4. Garlic. You can also use garlic on your acne by rasping it on for a number of times a day.
5. Avocado. Using avocado paste that is diluted with a small amount of water is also a good remedy for acne problem.
6. Radish. You can also incorporate in your regular meal an average size grated radish.
7. Rosemary tea and lemon juice. Drinking at least 2 cups of rosemary tea or drinking 3 glasses of water that contains lemon and honey can also help reduce the appearance of your acne.
8. Fresh or dried yeast. Combine 1 tablespoon of fresh or dried yeast and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Put it on your face and do not remove it until it is hard and dry. After it had hardened, you can wash your face with lukewarm water.
9. Apple cider vinegar. An apple cider vinegar or lemon juice is also considered as a good astringent for your acne.
10. Basil leaves. Boiling two to three basil leaves with 2 cups of water for at least 10-20 minutes is also a good toner for your acne.
Natural remedies for acne scars
For acne scars, there are also natural home remedies available. The most common procedures to follow are:
· Fresh buttermilk. This is ideal for cleansing the skin. Washing it with lukewarm water afterwards can help sustain the skin’s natural ph.
· Jambul seed. When soaked in water and made into thin paste, it is good for acne scars. Leave it until it dries up before cleaning it with room temperature water.
· Garlic paste. Fresh garlic paste is considered as an anti-bacterial agent that has the ability to defend the skin from acquiring acne lesions. Since this contains sulfur, you have to test it on a certain part of your face.
The acne alternative treatments done in the home may not give quick results. However, to its advantage, it is less costly than those bought over-the-counter. If you have some skin sensitivity to any of the ingredients mentioned above, remember to call your dermatologist.
